I’m like you, Wade. I write 13 checks in a year - 12 for rent, and 1 for a life insurance policy that I most certainly will never need to use myself.
One thing nearly worse is receiving a check. Not only do you actually have to GO to the bank, you sometimes have to wait for the check to clear to get your money.

i still write checks. but only so that i can rip them up and make confetti.
also, a bank issued check card only comes in one style. and i really prefer my “puppies in a basket” theme on my checks.
