I love Lynda Barry. She still has time to sell out.

Yeah, it's been on 20 years. If you haven't seen one episode, you are not culturally literate. And cultural literacy matters.

Couple of things.

1) dumping someone for not knowing a single Simpsons episode is not shallow. I'd do it too! Cultural relevance! Much like referncing Seinfeld episodes is necessary to communicate!

2) A perfect sky, bright blue with puffy clouds, is a "very Simpsons sky" in my vernacular. I even hear a Chris Isaac song, "Blue Spanish Sky" as "Its a clear, blue, Simpson's sky, I lie on my back and watch credits roll by"

3) They don't have to pay extra cast members, for sets and costumes, and they ship oversees most of the work. Yet they have more costume changes, different sets and characters than about any show out there. Brilliant!

4) Tracy Ullman is also brilliant

5) Yet, I wish it had been Lynda Barry, not Matt Groening, who had the huge empire!
