Blog hard or go home
I love working with blogs, whether my own babies, or my friends’ personal blogs, or clients’ corporate blogs.
It’s fun to me, tweaking the layout, defining the audience, brainstorming content (a too-fancy word for ideas).
And I love teaching. I’ve done it in some form or another from college onward.
Imagine how lucky I am to be able to do both at the same time. My new venture, Birmingham Blogging Academy, combines the two activities in a fun, low-stress environment.
Basically, I’ve lined up some time at the Homewood Library in the Birmingham suburbs to teach the basics of blogging. I’ve asked friends to help out, whether teaching, marketing, or simple moral support.
Why does anyone need to learn blogging? Well, I just want to help people realize their potential. Anyone can do it, and learn on her own or by book, online course, whatever. But I’ve helped dozens of creative people make the most of their blogs.
If you want to see more about my new project, visit birminghamblogging.com. And if you know someone who should start a blog, please let him know.
